Advantages

There are many advantages to using e-learning. As the lesson is online it means that you can attend classes from any whereas long as you have an internet connection so there is chance for people in the most remote locations to get an education. E-learning is also really flexible; there are no time restraints so people can work at a time that suits them. Also with proper time management you can plan your online learning session around your daily routine, this means you don’t have to take off work. Also as the course is online it gives people the chance to enrol in any course as long as it’s available online. This means that everyone could find a style of course to suit their career and lifestyle requirements. Online courses also normally cost less than campus-based courses so that is another advantage of online education.

Disadvantages
There are some disadvantages to online education. Firstly if you don’t understand some of the information you can’t ask for help straight away, you would have to contact someone for support and it would take longer to reply to you than if you were in a classroom situation. Also if you are bad at time keeping you may find it difficult to complete the course. Some people may have other priorities such as a family or a job so may find it difficult to schedule in some online learning sessions. Also most online learning material will be in a text format and some people have a more practical way of learning so they may not be fulfilling their full potential. Finally some people aren’t comfortable with using a computer so may find it difficult to access course information this would prohibit their learning ability.
